Ineoscar company dreamed of by chairperson one of largest chemical manufacturer in the world to start selling strip, no bullshit, 4×4 utility vehiclejust announced the new super luxury version of simple, compact, convenient 4×4 vehiclethe Grenade Detour. The new Detour models will be limited to 200 units and will offer wealthy buyer the personalization they demand when buying a car. The difference between standard Grenade and the Grenadier Detour will be limited to styling changes, although Ineos says the Detour will feature a retuned exhaust system to enhance the sound and feel of the turbocharged straight-six BMW engine under the bonnet of this massive solid-axle, body-on-frame SUV.

All Detour models will be hand-finished in the UK using materials from British suppliers, including leather from Bridge of Weir, cashmere from Johnstons of Elgin and unique badging from British jewelers Vaughtons, all of which are identical to the shops in the Lord of the Rings series. The new Detour models also get new 18-inch wheels, a slightly redesigned front end and eight new colours, including a $14,500 custom paint option that allows for endless colour choices, but of course there is a price. Ineos is a company founded by rich people, for rich people, and the new Detour is just that.

The interior of the Detour models will pamper passengers like no other Grenadier, with a cashmere headliner and extra soft-touch materials at the driver’s touch points. These luxuries don’t detract from the Grenadier’s off-road capabilities, however, with the interior still feeling a little industrial for a G-Wagen.

The Detour is Ineos’ first bike from its new Arcane Works division, which will produce hand-finished special editions in small numbers. Ineos also says that Arcane Works will be a testing ground for future technology and powertrains. If you ask how much the Grenadier Detour costs, you probably won’t be able to afford it. It starts at $164,400 before any options, and tops out at nearly $200,000.
