New member promotion: Earn 5,000 points when joining IHG One Rewards

- To take advantage of this promotion, you must sign up for an IHG One Rewards account through the “Stay and Get 5k Points” section. offers page before September 13.
- You must then book and complete your qualifying stay within 21 days of your registration. Remember to enter your new IHG One Rewards membership number when booking.
- To be eligible, stays must be booked directly through the IHG website, app or reservations call center. You can also book through some authorized travel agencies, but online agent like Expedia and Ineligible Bookings. Total spend must exceed USD 30 per night (before taxes and fees).
- Most IHG properties are eligible for this promotion, although some Six senses locations that do not participate in IHG One Rewards and some Iberostar coastal resort Not yet integrated into IHG One Rewards will be excluded.
- In addition to the IHG One Rewards points you normally earn on your stay, you’ll receive 5,000 bonus points that will be deposited into your account within six weeks.
As of June 2024, TPG value IHG charges at .50 cents per stay, so this reward is worth about $25 for future stays. Remember that these bonus points are not eligible for redemption elite status.
If you haven’t joined IHG One Rewards yet, now is a great time to do so. IHG’s portfolio includes more than 6,000 properties and 19 brands, ranging from extended stay options like Staybridge Suites and Candlewood Suites to luxury hotels like regent And intercontinental.
Before booking your IHG stay (or any stay at any hotel), be sure to check the hotel’s information supply page for current promotions. These promotions can help you earn even more points, but you usually have to sign up for them before booking a qualifying stay.
If your stay qualifies for multiple promotions, you can often stack them on top of each other. For example, IHG is currently offering 2,000 bonus points for every two nights you stay. So if you sign up for an account before September 13 and book a two-night stay within three weeks of signing up, you can take advantage of both promotions and earn 7,000 bonus points.
