I tried Déesse Pro Sculpta before anyone else—Here’s my review
As a beauty editor, many facial care devices and tools have crossed my desk. From LED mask (this mask is my favorite, FYI) to microcurrent device And gua sha, I’m a bit blind when it comes to at-home beauty tools. While I love in-office treatments, regular facials and treatments aren’t always achievable or feasible, which is why I love the devices. beauty helps bridge the gap and brings technological elements to your home.
A recent launch that caught my attention is Deesse Pro Sculpta (£499), combines three of today’s most popular modalities: Red LED, radio frequency and EMS (electric muscle stimulation) all in one device. It claims to lift, firm facial contours and enhance skin by stimulating collagen and enhancing cell function.
For the best part of £500, you could argue that it could also empty the dishwasher and fill out your tax return. To find out whether it was really worth the price, I tested it—and I really tested it. It faced both influenza and hen disease abroad during the testing period. Read on to see my honest review and before and after photos from the month-long test.
Déesse Pro Sculpta Review
What effects does Déesse Pro Sculpta have?
So what does this utility actually do? I learned about the benefits of Déesse Pro Sculpta from Sophie Perryfacial educator, author of The Natural Faceelife and Déesse Pro ambassador.
“The beauty of the device is that it can treat a multitude of skin needs—needs that change with the seasons,” says Perrypeople tell me that the benefits are endless and that these three technologies can be combined together or used individually to help you achieve your skin goals.
She says: “Benefits? Improved muscle tone for a firmer face, brighter skin, sculpted facial contours with reduced lines and wrinkles as well as puffiness. Think to a more enhanced appearance and radiant, healthy-looking skin.” Sounds pretty good to me.
There are three different technologies and they all have different effects on the skin. Scroll ahead to get acquainted with the benefits they offer.
Déesse Pro Sculpta: EMS
Each of the three treatment types has two modes, one gentler and one stronger, allowing you to build and tailor the program to your skin as you go.
“I like to start with EMS (electric muscle stimulation) mode, as this mode contracts deep down into the muscles helping to tighten and lift, improving overall muscle tone and building muscle memory, ultimately improve the structure of the face,” said Perry. This is a great option to use if you want an instantly fresh look right before a big event.
It’s a little different than microcurrent (as well as stronger), but ultimately works by stimulating the muscles, which is why you’ll see some facial spasms (completely painless but enjoyable) when you guide it across your face as the current flows through it. work.
The idea is that over time, increased muscle mass helps lift and sculpt facial contours. The sensation takes a little getting used to (it took me a while to get to the stronger levels) and you may feel a little weird sensation in your teeth as it passes through your mouth — but it’s not painful at all.
Déesse Pro Sculpta: Radio frequency
“Next is the radiofrequency mode, which is perfect for skin rejuvenation,” says Perry. “Think of it as rebuilding collagen for firmer skin and defining facial contours, addressing skin needs like skin elasticity as well as fine lines and wrinkles,” she says. , and at the same time gives the feeling of a hot stone massage to the face.”
Radiofrequency heats the skin’s dermis to 42-45°C using low-frequency electromagnetic waves, causing collagen fibers to contract to create a tightening effect, which is perfect for sensitive areas. sagging, such as the jaw and neck. In this mode, you can feel a gentle warming sensation as your skin heats up, and along with the gentle buzzing of the treatment tip, it’s actually quite a pleasant feeling as it glides across the skin.
Déesse Pro Sculpta: Red LED light
Last but not least, there is the red LED mode, which has been proven to boost collagen and elasticity, making our skin firmer and plumper.
“LED is a great tool for promoting cell turnover, improving skin health and function, enhancing radiance and giving skin a glow,” says. Perry. “The best part is that all three modes can be used individually as well as together to create a completely personalized routine.”
The device’s targeted tip is great for treating specific areas but is also fast enough to treat your entire face. With each treatment modality, Perry recommends working slowly and deliberately. “The aim is not just the visual results which will of course be seen but also the time for you to relax and unwind, creating ‘you time’,” she says. “So make sure not to push each section too hard and just press light to moderate, never so hard that you feel uncomfortable.”
Is Déesse Pro Sculpta really effective?
Before
Afterward
The first thing to note is that for it to work, there needs to be a water-based product on the skin to allow the technology to conduct electricity – this can be a water-based product like a hyaluronic acid serum or moisturizer. “My top tip is to use a water-based product with a thicker consistency, as I find it much easier to treat a full face as there is less need to reapply all over the face,” says. Perry.
There are six modes in total (each with two different intensities for LED, radio frequency, and EMS), so I started with the beginner modes before moving on to the stronger. I love that it’s really easy to incorporate into my skin care routine, since you only have to use each treatment for three minutes a day. The fact that you can use any water-based skin care products you already have is another bonus.
I’ve been testing the device for the past four weeks and I have some thoughts. My skin went through a rough phase with some breakouts and then scarring, and when the warm weather arrived, I had some pigmentation from the sun. So I have high hopes that this device will help clear my skin while sculpting and lifting.
EMS’s instant gratification makes it a winner when you want to look a little slimmer before going out, but I also noticed that my face (especially the lower half) looked more defined a little after four weeks of use. about three times a week. After being out in the sun on vacation for a few days, my skin looked more freckled than usual so I can’t say enough about the effect on pigmentation. However, I noticed my skin looked plumper and brighter, and the fine lines around my eyes were less noticeable. These are small changes that no one would notice, but I’m hopeful that if I continue to use them regularly, I’ll see even more benefits.
How often should you use it?
“Because there are three different technologies, you can mix and match days of use or use them all together all the time,” advises Perry. “For the EMS regimen, it should be used every other day to allow the muscles to rest. LED light and radio frequency can be used several times a week for optimal results, so it is easy to use in combination in habit.”
Contraindicated
Déesse Pro recommends that you avoid using the device if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or suffer from epilepsy or photo-induced seizures. Additionally, you should avoid using it if you have cancer or light-sensitive eczema.
The brand recommends that you contact your doctor before using the device if you have any eye diseases or abnormalities, suffer from light-induced migraines, or are taking any light-sensitive medications . Finally, you should not use it if you have any metal facial reconstruction plates (excluding dental fillings).
Additionally, you’ll want to liberally use any active skin care ingredients (such as retinoids or exfoliating acids) on the days you use the device. Tip: “If you want to use strong actives or retinols in your routine, limit use to the same day as the device so you don’t dry out your skin.” Perry.
Is Déesse Pro Sculpta worth it?
This is a great skin care tool if you want to try a few different technologies. LED masks alone can cost £200 or more, so the added bonus of radio frequency and EMS means you’ll get more value for money and have more options to choose from. Addresses various skin care goals. Don’t get me wrong, £499 is a lot of money to spend on a skincare device. But if you buy separate devices for LED, EMS, and radio frequency, it could cost you more.
I love that the device delivers instant results and the skin care benefits continue to add up over time. It’s really easy to use, and since each treatment only takes three minutes, it’s very convenient to get into your routine — I know this is one beauty tool that won’t end up in the back of your bedside drawer. I like some kind of yes. The fact that it can be used with any water-based product means you don’t need to buy another branded gel, you can simply use whatever you currently have to perform the procedure. your skin care routine.
I should explain that I’m in my late twenties so I don’t have a lot of loose skin. With that said, I see the benefits of using it regularly. My jawline and cheekbones look more defined, and my skin texture looks smoother and firmer, so I hope it will help keep my skin in good shape as I enter my third year. ten and more.
All in all, if you want a facial device that can do it all, I highly recommend it. If you want a device that only has LED lights, radio frequency or EMS, you can save more money buying a dedicated device instead.
