Prices for the Hyundai Kona Electric increase for 2025, but so does standard equipment.
The Kona Electric ’25 also gets a new trim level: the N Line, which sports the same sporty styling inside and out as the version sold with the gasoline engine.

This year’s Kona Electric SE starts at $34,270, up $260 from last year. That includes a $60 increase in destination charges, up to $1,395 from $1,335.
The SE continues to be the only model equipped with the smaller 48.6-kwh battery pack, which delivers 133 horsepower and an EPA-rated range of 200 miles (for the 2024 model year; the EPA has yet to release 2025 data).
The Kona Electric SEL starts at $38,270 for 2025. The cost increase is the same—but it upgrades to a 64.8-kWh pack that offers 261 miles of range and also powers the N Line and Limited models. It’s rated at 201 horsepower.
The $39,670 N Line sits below the $42,445 Kona Electric Limited, just $65 more expensive than last year’s model.
Among the features available on the Kona Electric, ambient lighting is carried over from the Limited trim to the new N Line, while LED interior lighting is now focused on the SEL, N Line, and Limited trims.
The V2L capacity is now applied to all four versions: SE, SEL, N Line and Limited.
Otherwise, the Kona Electric will carry over for the 2025 model year. Last year, all models received a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, and over-the-air software updates. The Kona family, new for 2024, also has more interior space than before, as well as options that include a power liftgate and a head-up display.
Kona hybrid sold in other global markets remain out of reach for U.S. shoppers: Hyundai has focused its efforts on larger HEV and PHEV models like the Tucson and Santa Fe crossover SUVs as well as the Elantra and Sonata sedans.
