Ski season in Park City, Utah, Right on the corner of the streetand with it comes a new Hyatt hotel that is sure to be the talk of the town.
Scheduled to open November 20 Grand Hyatt Deer Valley is Deer Valley East Village’s first propertyexpansion of Deer Valley Resort. Deer Valley East Village will feature 3,700 acres of new skiable terrain with new lifts and runs, new private residences and hotels as well as shopping, dining, etc.
At the Grand Hyatt, 400 rooms and suites will be available for those who want to ski in the winter or enjoy Utah’s lush summers. The rooms are fresh and sleek, featuring 55-inch TVs, Nespresso coffee makers, and spa-inspired bathrooms—plus, they come in a variety of configurations to suit different needs and groups. .
Or, to really spread out, there are one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments available.
The bars and restaurants at Grand Hyatt Deer Valley are under the direction of chef Marc Marrone, chef Viktor Merenyi and mixologist Frank Maldonado (of NYC Employees Only fame). Remington Hall, serving rustic American cuisine, will be the hotel’s signature restaurant, while Remington Lounge will serve Maldonado’s iconic cocktails.
Double Blacks will offer coffee and cafe-style food (think: breakfast sandwiches and crackers); The lounge will serve as a family-friendly après-ski location; and Hidden Ace, a community-focused bar, will offer drinks and live music.

Other hotel highlights include a heated outdoor swimming pool with three hot tubs, a spa (opening in phases), a kids’ club with a dedicated “play center” with games play and activities, and because the resort is pet-friendly there is a dog run and specialty dog menu.
How to make a reservation
Like one World of Hyatt Category 6 property, award rates at Grand Hyatt Deer Valley start at 21,000 points per night for off-peak days. During peak ski season, you’ll spend 29,000 World of Hyatt points per night.
Given the seasonal nature of a ski resort, finding cash rates is a difficult experience. In November, rooms could be found for under $300 a night, but fast forward to January and weekday room rates range from $600 to more than $1,000 per night.
