How I’m making the most of my Amazon Freedom rotation this quarter
As a reader, I love Amazon because it is just an online bookstore. However, we can now find almost anything we want or need on Amazon, delivered to us within two days with our Amazon Prime subscription.
These days, I turn to Amazon to buy almost anything, including clothes, electronics, household items, books, and of course, everything I need for travel. My credit card account always shows a spike in Amazon transactions in the weeks before a big trip.
So when I see Amazon is once again one of the 5% earning categories on Chase Freedom (no longer for new subscribers) and Chase freedom Flex℠ This quarter (activation required), I celebrated. During these three months, i Chasing the ultimate reward The points will add up as fast as the Amazon box in my trash.
Information about the Chase Freedom credit card has been independently collected by The Points Guy. The card details on this page have not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.

Upgrade essentials for my trip
I always use Amazon to restock my little toiletries before a trip, for example My favorite makeup wipes. However, I’m taking advantage of this quarter’s bonus to upgrade some of my larger travel categories.
I have found my favorite packing block And earphone at Amazon, so it’s no surprise that Amazon is where I’m looking for a new solution mobile phone charger, airplane pillow And Packable raincoat.
I finally joined the group AirTags before the trip to Europe.

Stock up on household and pet supplies
The spring cleaning and decorating bug happens to me every year, so I’m checking Amazon to find the cleaning and decorating items I need before hitting my usual local stores. Amazon almost always offers exactly what I’m looking for at a great price, so I’m using my Freedom bonus earnings as a great reason to click “add to cart” on those stuff like fresh bed linen and new outdoor chair.
I’m also stocking up on things I know I’ll need soon, even if I haven’t used them all yet. It’s probably safe to assume that my dog will continue to expect one Daily treatmentAnd I’ll keep drinking My favorite cold beer in the next few months, so I’ll be ordering both while I can earn bonus points on them.

Order gifts
Spring gift season is approaching and for the first time I’m getting ready. I will get all my Mother’s Day, graduation, wedding, and birthday gifts from Amazon.
Also, since it’s hard to get creative at this busy time of year, maybe I’ll take the easy route and send some Amazon digital gift card. I love that I can choose holiday-specific graphics, add a message, and schedule a date for it to arrive in the recipient’s email.
Plus, if (when) I decide to buy myself a gift or two while shopping for someone else, I feel less guilty knowing that I’m earning bonus points from all those gifts.

Plan
Chasing freedom and Flex Freedom Cardholders can earn 5% back on their first $1,500 in Amazon purchases through June 30. After the first $1,500, the Freedom and Freedom Flex earn 1% back on Amazon purchases.
Because of this, I’m carefully tracking my progress towards this maximum so I can switch strategies when I reach it. When I do, I’ll move back Premium Visa as my default tag – at least until I work on the next one juicy welcome bonus.
Even though I can earn 5% year-round with my Prime Visa, I still have the opportunity to earn 5 Chase Ultimate Rewards points per dollar on Amazon purchases when that’s an option. Because I have it too Reserve Chase Sapphire®I can transfer these rewards to any of them Chase’s 14 transfer partners and get more than double the value of my points, according to TPG valuation.
