Honda Australia details upcoming 2025 HR-VHighlights include the introduction of a new entry-level hybrid version, more safety kit, and minor interior and exterior styling changes.
Honda has confirmed it will soon be arriving in Australian showrooms, including the e:HEV X – a new entry-level hybrid variant that sits between the current Vi X and the flagship e:HEV L.
The new facelifted HR-V features a slightly redesigned front grille that’s more squared off than the SUV that’s been on sale in Australia for more than two years, along with tweaked taillight graphics.

Japan market HR-V (Vezel) -
Drivers benefit from an expanded suite of driver assistance tools, now including traffic jam assist and adaptive headlights for e:HEV variants, which adjust the headlight beam to avoid dazzling oncoming drivers.
Honda also claims to have improved the HR-V’s lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and forward collision avoidance systems.
Honda Connect is now standard across the range, providing smartphone access to vehicle data such as fuel levels and live location. A five-year subscription to the service is included with the purchase of any HR-V.
Two new exterior colors will appear in the palette – Slate Grey Pearl and Botanical Green Pearl.
Inside, HR-V updated – sold as the Vezel in its home market of Japan – gets a more prominent storage tray below the climate controls, as well as a wireless charging pad.
HR-V owners are required to service their vehicle every 12 months or 10,000km, with the first five services capped at $199 each.
Last year, Honda sold 2,182 HR-Vs in Australia, making the model less popular CR-V And ZR-V models in the same segment in Honda’s SUV line.
