As for Malaysia’s ASEAN neighbor Vietnam, the Honda Blade 2023 received an update with a local selling price of VND 19.25 million (RM3,617). There are three model versions if offered to the Vietnamese market – Special, Sport and Standard.
The difference between the three models is the braking system, with the Standard version having mechanical drum brakes on the front and rear wheels. Meanwhile, the Sport and Special versions come with a single hydraulic disc brake at the front wheel.
Wheels also vary between Blade variants, Standard comes with spooky wheels and tubeless tyres while Sport and Special have alloy wheels and tubeless tyres. A small detail is that the brake calipers and shock absorbers on the Blade Sports are painted red while the Special version has silver brake calipers and springs.
Power comes from a single cylinder, air-cooled, 109.1 cc engine, producing 8.3 hp at 7,500 rpm and 8.65 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. /minute. With both electric and foot start, the Blade comes with a four-speed rotary transmission with a centrifugal clutch and a chain-driven final drive.
The Blade carries a 3.7-liter fuel tank and other equipment includes a dashboard with gear position indicator and halogen headlights. The overall weight of the Blade is 98 kg while the saddle height is at 769 mm.
