New color for Honda BeAT 2023 in Malaysia, retail price of RM5,990 excluding road tax, insurance and registration. This is an increase of RM435 compared to price 2022 RM5,555 for Honda BeAT and all BeATs are covered by a two-year 20,000 km warranty against manufacturing defects.
This year’s new color option is yellow, which joins the current category choices of Red, Blue, and Black. BeAT 2023 quantities will be available at all Boon Siew Honda authorized dealer showrooms starting June 30.
Engine specifications for the BeAT remain unchanged with a single-cylinder, air-cooled, 108.2 cc engine that produces 8.67 hp at 7,500 rpm and torque. Torque reaches 9.53 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The powertrain goes to the ground with a CVT transmission and belt drive, as is normal for scooters in this class.
The BeAT has 14-inch wheels, 80/90 front tires and 90/90 rear tires with braking done by hydraulic discs at the front and mechanical drum brakes at the rear with Honda Combined Braking System. The telescopic fork holds the front end in place while the rear comes with a single non-adjustable shock absorber.
Fuel is stored in a 4.2-liter tank and an 11.7-liter storage compartment is found under the seat. The BeAT weighs 90 kg while the seat height is set at 742 mm and both electric and kick start are standard.
