HISA is accepting applications for the Board of Directors, Committees


The Horseracing Safety and Integrity Authority (HISA) is accepting applications for the Board of Directors, the Standing Committee on Race Safety and the Standing Committee on Anti-Doping and Drug Control (ADMC). The Board and Standing Committees play a key role in the development, implementation and enforcement of HISA’s Race Safety and ADMC Programmes.

Qualified candidates interested in serving on the Board of Directors or Standing Committee are invited to complete and submit Candidate screening questionnairealong with a statement of interest and resume, send to Anjali Salooja at [email protected]Applications will be considered on a rolling basis as vacancies arise.

Currently, only the ADMC Standing Committee has vacancies. Selected candidates will undergo a comprehensive screening process and must agree to abide by HISA’s Conflict of Interest and Business Ethics Policy. The HISA Nominating Committee, co-chaired by Dr. Nancy Cox and Bill Squadron, will recommend successful candidates to fill any vacancies on the Board of Directors or Standing Committee.

About HISA’s Board of Directors and Standing Committees

HISA is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of five independent members selected from outside the horse industry and four industry members selected from a diverse constituency within the horse industry.

The HISA ADMC Standing Committee advises and assists in establishing the rules and protocols for the HISA ADMC Program, including laboratory testing standards and protocols, in- and out-of-competition testing programs, and ADMC research and education. The day-to-day operations of the ADMC Program are carried out by the Racing Welfare and Integrity Unit.

The HISA Track Safety Committee advises and assists in the establishment and implementation of the HISA Track Safety Program, which includes training and racing safety standards and protocols, track surface quality maintenance systems, and uniform track safety standards. Both the ADMC and the Track Safety Committee are comprised of four independent members and three industry members.
