Nowadays, a lot of people are having a hard time believing that artificial intelligence will not become sentient and take over the world with the name “Terminator”. Currently, in healthcare, one of the big questions for clinicians is: Can I trust AI to help me make patient decisions?
Today’s podcast seeks to provide some answers with a prominent member of the medical IT community, Dr Blackford Middleton.
Middleton is an independent consultant working on AI issues in the University of Michigan’s department of health systems learning. Previously, he served as director of health information at Stanford Health Care, CIO at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, corporate director of clinical informatics at Partners HealthCare System, assistant professor at Harvard Medical School and Chairman of the board at HIMSS.
