HiLux ram looks like a 1500

The appearance of the new ram rampage ute was revealed in Brazil ahead of its full launch later this year, offering the same styling as the 1500 but in a more manageable size.

It is understood to be based on the same Fiat Chrysler Small Wide 4×4 architecture served in jeep compass And Command/Meridian And Alfa Romeo Tonale.

This means that this monolithic car is unlikely to provide the same load-carrying and terrain capabilities as the monocoque cars like. Toyota Hilux And Ford Ranger.

Its styling screams ‘baby ram 1500‘ however, from the upright front fascia and horseshoe grille to the muscular body and aggressive taillight detailing.

Inside, there’s a digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

Specifications are yet to be announced, but reports from Brazil suggest it will be offered in the familiar Laramie, Rebel and Longhorn versions along with the Night Edition, with the first engines including dynamics. 2.0 liter turbocharged diesel engine with 127 kW capacity and 2.0 liter turbocharged engine. – gasoline four.

Both will be mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive.

This is not the first elf from the Rams. The brand is currently selling the Ram 700 – a revamped and renamed Fiat Strada – in several Latin American countries, such as Mexico.

Other countries in the Americas, like Peru, also have the larger Ram 1000 – a Fiat Toro with a revised grille – in their lineup.

However, neither of these vehicles is sold in the US or Canada.

It is unclear whether Stellantis designed Rampage to comply with US safety and emissions standards. If it goes on sale there, it will likely compete with low-priced but best-selling cars, the Ford Maverick and the more premium, less popular, Hyundai Santa Cruz.

Both of these cars share the same architecture as popular small crossovers, namely the Ford Bronco Sport and Hyundai Tucson.

It’s unclear if Rampage will be sold in any markets outside of Latin America, like Australia.

The Rampage name was once used on an even smaller vehicle: the two-door Dodge Rampage, sold between 1982 and 1984. It derives from the Omni O24 coupe, which was later based on the Volkswagen-sized Omni hatchback Golf.

The new Rampage isn’t the only new 1500 ute extra Ram planned to launch.

Ram has confirmed it is working on a mid-size electric vehicle in the US that could revive the Dakota nameplate it has shown to dealers there.

The company has confirmed that it has been designed for the international market and is right-hand drive, which means it will most likely on the way to Australia.
