High temperatures kill more than 175,000 people each year in Europe, new data shows




A staggering 175,000 people die from heat-related causes each year in Europe, and that number is set to soar as our planet continues to warm. That’s the warning from the United Nations’ World Health Organization (WHO), which said on Friday that European countries are seeing temperatures rise at twice the global average.
