Harness more power of Android Chat by enabling these handy features

  • Send read receipts

How to configure Chat features on Android

What you need: The only thing you need is a device running an updated version of Android. Most devices sold in the last few years must include an operating system version that includes features.

Swipe up on the home screen to reveal the App Drawer. Locate and tap the Messages launcher to open the app.

On the main Messages page, tap your profile icon, then tap Message settings.

From the Messages settings page, tap Chat features at the top and on the results page tap the ON/OFF slider until the slider is in the ON position.

A pop-up will appear asking you to verify the activation. Click Yes, I agree to enable this feature. After enabling this feature, you will see a button labeled Verify Number. You don’t have to do anything.

Wait for a while until the page refreshes to show your number has been verified.
