Players Gran Turismo! Update 1.29 for Gran Turismo 7 arrives today, February 20 at 10pm Pacific time* / February 21 at 6am GMT / 3pm JST.
PlayStation VR2 (PS5 only) for Gran Turismo 7 arrives
With update 1.29 at no extra cost, players will be able to experience all races and game modes for the first time (excluding ‘Split Screen 2P’ mode) in full realism new. PS VR2 players will also be able to access the exclusive ‘VR Gallery’ area from their ‘Garage’ or the in-game car dealership, where they can admire all the stunning details of ultra-high resolution car models in various locations and lighting settings.
GT7 takes full advantage of PS VR2’s next-generation features – Utilizes specially optimized HDR tone mapping, as well as flawless rendering from eye-tracking (a technology that displays areas of area on the screen that the player is looking at live in high definition), and supporting dynamic 3D sound, players will experience a whole new aspect of highly immersive gameplay.

Experience Gran Turismo Sophy in Race Together mode (PS5 only)
Gran Turismo Sophy is a revolutionary super racing AI agent developed in collaboration between Sony AI, Sony Interactive Entertainment and Polyphony Digital. The “Gran Turismo Sophy Race Together” mode gives Gran Turismo players of all levels and abilities the chance to take on GT Sophy in GT7. The Special Mode, available as a limited-time in-game event (February 21 to the end of March), is a first look at GT Sophy in GT7 and is designed to maximize fun. the fun and excitement of racing with GT Sophy for everyone. Player feedback on this initial special feature will be used to continuously improve the GT Sophy Race Together mode feature for future releases.
In GT Sophy Race Together mode, players can race against GT Sophy in a series of four races of increasing difficulty, as Beginner/Intermediate/Expert drivers. In each of the four races, players will race against four GT Sophy cars at different levels of performance. Players can also challenge GT Sophy in 1VS1 mode, where GT Sophy and the player race one-on-one with identical vehicle configurations and settings, demonstrating GT Sophy’s superhuman racing skills. The excitement of GT Sophy Race Together mode is enhanced with GT7’s new emoji feature, which displays emojis on GT Sophy vehicles during the race in response to in-game action.
This mode can be accessed directly from the top right panel on the GT7 World Map and players can start racing against GT Sophy once the player reaches Collector Level 6. For more info information about GT Sophy, please refer official website.
Grand Valley returns to Highway 1
A Gran Turismo classic, Grand Valley returns to the series with a whole new look. The full layout of ‘National Highway 1’ is a challenging road with high speed sections running at full throttle along with technical twists and turns. The ‘South’ layout is shorter than 2000m featuring harsh elevation changes and hidden corners for the driver’s attention at all times. A vast environment where the ocean meets the mountains, as well as large sections of bridges and tunnels create a dynamic location that recreates the excitement of driving the world’s wonderful winding coastal roads .
