Should I transfer points now?
We only recommend transferring points if you plan to use them shortly. With the travel industry turning to rewards programs to raise cash, promotions like these could cause future depreciation.
Transfers are irreversible, so you don’t want to be stuck with thousands of points in a program you rarely use.
If you do not have specific redemption intentions but still want to accumulate miles, it is better to accumulate points and miles through a credit card welcome bonus and daily spending.

When a transferable currency program offers a transfer bonus, it’s important to run the numbers to see if it’s worth it.
In general, you won’t want to transfer your points without a specific redemption intent. After all, transferable points are often more valuable when they are still transferable.
If you use the program often or plan to redeem your points soon, using a transfer bonus can help you get more value out of your points.
