Genesis Invitational 2023 tee times, matchups: As Tiger Woods, the field begins Round 4 on Sunday at the Riviera
A three-man battle seemed to be in the cards for the final round of the Genesis Invitational 2023 until Jon Rahm took control of the tournament late on Saturday. Separating himself off the field with a flurry of punches, Rahm sits 15 points under and three strokes ahead of his nearest opponent.
World No 3 will pair Max Homa (-12) and Keith Mitchell (-11) for the second day in a row as they battle for the biggest title of the youth season. The trio will feature in the final group that will begin at 1:06 p.m. ET.
While the gap between Rahm and the rest of the competition is measurable, it may not be insurmountable. Patrick Cantlay (-10) and Collin Morikawa (-8) still have a slim chance of making it to the winner’s round, as does Gary Woodland (-9) after a nice move in Round 3.
Then there’s Tiger Woods, who incited the crowd on Saturday and will do the same on Sunday. Signing a 4-under 67, Woods has placed himself in the top 30 and will aim to connect at his first top 20 finish in more than three years. The 15-time major champion will begin the final round at 11:16 a.m. ET alongside Tyrrell Hatton and Kramer Hickok.
