The Network change continues at Frontier Airlines. The Denver-based low-cost carrier announced nearly a dozen new routes on Tuesday, each of which will launch this fall.
Among the new routes are the airline’s fourth and fifth nonstop flights from New York City’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). Before this summer, the airline had never served the airport.
Frontier will also return to Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) for the first time since last year and Dulles International Airport (IAD) outside Washington, DC for the first time since 2021.

Overall, the carrier’s latest network adjustment affects 15 cities across the country.
It is the latest in a month-long overhaul During that time Frontier embarked on an effort to increase profits.
After adding more than 100 new routes earlier this year and eliminating dozens of others, the airline changes its fall schedule focusing primarily on the busiest days of the week for leisure travel — including deep cuts to flights on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Even with the overall reduction in midweek flights, many of the new routes announced this week still include daily service or multiple weekly round trips, including on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
A Frontier spokesperson told TPG the airline is not making any cuts related to Tuesday’s announcement.

What you need to know about these new routes
While Frontier does not currently operate any of these 11 routes, it has operated some in the past, as noted above. In some cases, Frontier last operated nonstop service in 2022 or earlier.
With the exception of the Cincinnati-Sarasota route, each of these new routes touches a major hub of the “Big Three” U.S. network airlines, which fits with a strategy Frontier has been rolling out this year. less focus on solid leisure tourism destinations and more information about travelers flying between major cities to visit friends and relatives.
For the Washington, DC area, Frontier has been absent from Dulles in recent years; the airline currently serves Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI).
Meanwhile, the announcement of this latest route continues the airline’s rapid growth momentum into 2024 at ATL — the world’s busiest airport — and at CVG, where it recently established a crew base.
