More than 800,000 Venezuelans have come to Brazil in recent years in search of medical care, food and new opportunities.

When they cross the northern border, they are provided with overnight accommodation, food, security and sanitation services at the International Organization for Migration (International Organization for Migration).IOM) Reception and Support (PRA) station in Pacaraima as part of Operação Acolhida, or campaign Welcome program.
