Floyd Mayweather appears to confront Jake Paul in the video. Paul Sees Running From The Crowd.

Like a lot of schoolyard junk, it all started when someone had their hat ripped off. Before the highly lucrative 2021 exhibition match between the older, younger, and less talented Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul, Mayweather had very openly been ripped off by Logan’s younger brother, Jake. Suffice it to say that such things are not quickly forgotten, neither on the schoolyard nor in the world of professional boxing.

And so, closing two years after the infamous “hat-pulling” incident, Mayweather is said to have faced off against the so-called “Problem Kid” outside a match at the Miami Heat on Thursday night. Private. Security and many others appear to be involved in the incident, although it is difficult to tell from the video released by TMZ whether many present were part of Mayweather’s entourage or just gawking.

Regardless of who is on Mayweather’s team or not, two things stand out. The first is the voice of a man (perhaps a Tequila Tough Guy?) taunting Paul and saying “catch him”. Another striking thing is that Paul felt the need to literally turn around and run away. It was a difficult time for Paul. First, he lost to Tommy Fury, and now footage of him fleeing a conflict is disrupting the internet.

With all that said, there are things that need to be clarified. First of all, adults shouldn’t steal hats. Second, adults shouldn’t threaten someone – especially when part of a group. Additionally, there is no evidence from the TMZ tape that Mayweather intended to physically threaten Paul. And last but not least, Paul should not be mocked for running. Have you ever been physically vulnerable to a group of menacing people? That’s not anyone’s happy idea.

Of course, Paul took to social media after the incident to address the issue. “Floyd,” he announced on Twitter, “if you want a 1-on-1 fight we can do it but don’t try to jump out of 3 cars 25 deep guy trying to jump on me in when I was trying to enjoy my Wednesday night. ”

Paul later posted: “Floyd won’t see me 1v1 in a real fight. That is a fact. His team hit mine several times to do one of his ‘exhibitions’. Now he’s ambushing me… Come meet me in the ring, fight for real, no bullshit fan-robbing exhibition.”

Mayweather has not commented on the incident, at least on social media. However, he announced a five-match exhibition deal, saying “if any of these exhibitions don’t go, I still get paid.” While Mayweather doesn’t reveal the exact number of the deal, he can certainly afford more hats.
