Rollins School in Florida has raised a statue of Mister Rogers, full with puppets and adoring youngsters. It is a tribute to Fred Rogers, the beloved TV host who graduated from Rollins 70 years in the past.
Rogers wears his iconic cardigan and sneakers within the larger-than-life bronze statue on the Orlando-area campus, smiling as he holds his Daniel Tiger puppet within the middle of a throng of youngsters.
The sculpture, “A Lovely Day for a Neighbor,” was created by British artist Paul Day. It consists of lyrics from the long-running collection’ theme track, together with well-known characters and the Trolley that linked Mister Rogers’ fictional home to the world of make-believe.
