Bred by Matasada Kunida, Rise Zone finished third in the May 19 debut for coach Hiromi Yamazaki. The pony is out Neo Universe mare Habitable Zone, who created three winners from three ponies to run. Habitable Zone comes from the family of US Tier 1 winning strategy Maneuver.

Beach Patrol, son of Lemon Drop Kid, was initially coached by Wayne Catalano and then Phil D’Amato to let Gary and Mary West begin their racing careers. He was later acquired by James Covello, Sheep Pond Partners, and Head of Plains Partners, and moved to Chad Brown’s warehouse in the spring of 2016, where he went on to record three level 1 events on the pitch including both Clerk Shares (G1T) in position 3, Arlington Million XXXV Stakes (G1T) and Joe Hirsch Turf Classic Stakes (G1T) at position 4. One with over $2.5 million, Beach Patrol also only less than half compared to Talismanic at the Longines Breeders’ Cup Turf (G1T) 2017.
