Final Fantasy XVI battle system details


Square Enix shares new details about the battle system in Final Fantasy XVI. This includes information on how the player can enhance Clive’s abilities, the companions the player will encounter throughout the game, and how special “Summon” actions will work. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

As Ruler, Clive will be able to channel various abilities assigned to specific summons, known as Eikons in the game. Players will be able to switch between each of these “Summons” in real time and take advantage of their specific abilities and attacks on the fly.
