Ferrari employee bonus up to $20,000 after a successful year


Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna said his company’s more than 5,000 employees will receive bonuses of up to €13,500 (AU$20,813) after a year of strong growth for the brand.

Bloomberg reported a 12.5 percent increase in bonuses year over year.

In 2022, Ferrari delivered 13,221 units, an increase of 18.5% over the previous year. The Maranello-based company also posted a record net profit of 939 million euros ($1.45 billion), up from 833 million euros ($1.28 billion) in last year.

Net sales were 5.1 billion euros ($7.86 billion).

The Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region is the largest region for Ferrari in 2022 with 5958 vehicles delivered, an increase of 8.0% compared to 2021.

The next largest region was the Americas with 3,447 vehicles delivered, up 22% from last year.

Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan were the third best-selling region with 1552 vehicles delivered, up 73% year-on-year, followed by the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region with 2264 vehicles delivered. , an increase of 17% compared to 2021.

Local sales are picking up slightly, with a 4.6% increase to 203 units last year.

Ferrari’s lineup for 2022 includes nine internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles and three hybrid models. It claims shipment split rates of 78% and 22% respectively.

The company also plans to raise vehicle prices to offset current cost inflation.
