Fantasy Football Stock Watch Buy Low, Sell High: Michael Gallup, Damien Harris among top trade contenders heading into Week 12

Trading deadlines have passed in some fantasy football leagues, but plenty of business opportunities remain. If you can still make trades in your league, there’s no time to waste. Much of the goodbye has passed, and although trauma can still strike at any time, you should know which areas of your list need the most attention. It’s never easy to find the perfect trade target or trading partner, but either way, we’re making the ultimate call to buy low and sell high. The Cardinals and Chiefs (Week 12), Panthers, Browns, Packers and Titans (Week 13), and the Colts Dolphins, Patriots and Eagles (Week 14) still have to say goodbye, but others have already taken their mandatory week off. If you’re fighting for a playoff spot, you may want to avoid targeting players from those teams. If your playoff spot is all but guaranteed, you can get extra value from those players. Few owners can afford not to have a regular warm-up player at this point in the season, and zombie desperation could lead them to sell a player for 75 cents a dollar.

Dallas Goedert, TE, Eagles. Goedert is yet to come out with a full score, but his basic usage has been excellent since trading Zach Ertz. On Sunday against the Saints, he caught five out of eight targets for 62 yards and had a 33 percent hit rate. The Eagles have morphed into a ferocious attack over the past month, which limits Goedert’s ability to eventually gain points. However, its configuration is that of the mid-range TE1.

Michael Pittman, WR, Colonel. Pittman caught only two of five goals at 23 yards in Week 11. He was simply unnecessary, however, as the Colts rode Jonathan Taylor to a nasty win over the Bills. Pittman will be relied on more as Indy is forced to throw more. He made a full breakout in his sophomore year campaign and qualified as “buy low” entering Week 12.

Michael Gallup, WR, Cowboy. Both Amari Cooper (COVID) and CeeDee Lamb (concussion) are either out or have questions for Thursday’s game against the Raiders. Gallup suddenly became the first choice in an attack led by Dak Prescott. Week 11 has been tough, but we’re chasing volume here.

Damien Harris, RB, The Patriot. The 24-year-old returned from a concussion Thursday night, plunging 10 times for 56 yards, adding one more reception to win nine points in the air. Harris seems to be a good runner, but moviegoers might notice that rookie Rhamondre Stevenson looks even better. First-year RB handled two more burdens than Harris as the duo essentially rotated the series for most of the night. Stevenson doesn’t quite take over this backyard, but we can reasonably expect he’ll stay involved in the long run. Harris is no longer holding on to early kills with the Patriots, but he’s still highly valued thanks to a five-game streak leading up to last Thursday’s game.

Watch Fantasy Football Stocks Week 12: Players Should Hold

Miles Sanders, Eagles. Sanders dashed 16 times in 94 yards against the Saints on Sunday, as the Eagles once again delivered a powerful rushed strike to win. It was a great performance in his first game since returning from IR. Sanders parted ways with Jordan Howard before he left the game with a knee injury. Sanders has been Philadelphia’s lead athlete since that time. His workload will increase if Howard is unable to play in Week 12.

Brandon Aiyuk, WR, 49ers. With the warning that it was against the Jaguars, Aiyuk was remarkably effective in Week 11. He hit all seven targets in 85 yards and one touchdown. This was the third time in four matches Aiyuk had seen at least seven targets. He was once again active as a full-time player in Kyle Shanahan’s offense. That makes him a WR2/3 at the border for the rest of 2021, so don’t consider him a big sell. If you still sort Aiyuk, consider his recent form to be sustainable.
