FanDuel Picks Week 15: NFL DFS roster tips for daily fantasy football GPP tournaments

Since we’re playing in GPP tournaments, we’re rolling the dice and building our FanDuel Week 15 tournament lineup around rookie Texas quarterback Davis Mills. He’s got a low price of $6,800, and the savings allowed us to put together an NFL DFS roster that we’re excited about from top to bottom. This product line clearly has a lot of potential to boom or bust, but we’re shooting for the moon here and only own first place.

Before we get into this week’s lineup, here are the ground rules for FanDuel competitions. Scoring is pretty standard, with the only notable settings being TDs pass four points and Half point PPR.

Main Sunday, $60,000 budget, no more than four players from a team

QB Davis Mills, Texans @ Jaguars ($6,800). Mills has been playing better in recent weeks, scoring at least 18.0 FanDuel points in three of his past six competitions. The jaguars are one of the worst defenses in the league, so Mills would be in a good position to make a good fantasy effort and put the squad in a green finish.

RB James Conner, Cardinals @ Lions ($8,300). Conner may yield some reception to Chase Edmonds, but he remains steady as they come in with just three games under 10.0 FD. The Cardinals are heavily favored over the Lions, so the game script suggests we could see a lot of Cardinals runs and goals from behind on Sunday.

RB Antonio Gibson, Football Team @ Eagles ($6,900). Gibson has let a lot of people down with a poor Week 14 performance, but we’ll come back to it with a better game. The Eagles have generously resisted allowing the production of FanDuel, and Gibson remains just one game out of a four-game span in which he scored at least 19.6 FD points three times.

WR Diontae Johnson, Steelers vs. Titans ($7,200). The goals continued in Johnson’s way. His 10 against the Vikings last Thursday night marked the fifth time in a row he’s received double digits. As long as he has enough goals and has a reasonable price tag, we’ll be interested in naming him our WR1 in these lineups.

WR Jaylen Waddle, Dolphins vs. Jets ($7,100). Waddle may not have hit the mark yet – we don’t expect him to function as a short-range recordist for most of his career – but he’s finding his footing nonetheless. in the NFL. He has seen double-digit goals in each of his past two games and has scored double figures in four of his past five games. The Jets’ defense that finished last in DVOA broke through, so Waddle shouldn’t have much problem putting on another solid performance.

WR Odell Beckham Jr., Rams vs Seahawks ($6,000). Beckham has experienced some success as he continues to fit in with the Rams’ offense. He made 10 goals against the Packers in Week 12 and has scored the winning goal in three consecutive competitions. Cooper Kupp remains the clear No. 1 pick when it comes to attacking passes, but at $6,000, Beckham offers explosive value potential in the sort of split that often turns into penalties.

TE George Kittle, 49ers vs Falcons ($7,800). Kittle is hot right now, so he’ll likely be a popular pick on Sunday, but sometimes it’s best to use the “KISS” method and accept easy answers. He has scored 62.7 FD points on 27 goals in the past two weeks, and he will be able to find more success against a poor Falcons defence.

FLEX (RB) Rashaad Penny, Seahawks @ Rams ($6,100). Penny has played well when he’s healthy, but health has been an elusive attribute for him during his NFL career. However, he’s currently in a piece of the puzzle and we’ll call on him in what could develop into a fun, back-and-forth NFC West showdown. Repeating his 26.3-point streak may be difficult to come by, but another healthy workload will be on the cards.

DEF Texans @ Jaguars ($4,000). This is 100 per cent about the Jaguars incompetence and picking a team that can’t seem to unravel the seams. For all of Texas’ struggles, they’re 10th in DVOA defensively, so they should be able to cause problems for the unlucky Jags, who have averaged 9.1 points over the past seven weeks.
