EVx 2024: Test and buy new smart #3 to get free gifts; discount up to RM30k for #1 Brabus

We are only a few days away. paultan.org The Electric Vehicle Show (EVx) will return in 2024 at Setia City Convention Centre (SCCC) from July 20-21 (9am-7pm daily). Co-sponsored by Car, Gentari, RHB And Fruit juiceEVx 2024 is the perfect place to learn more about electric vehicles and will feature a variety of brands.

This includes smartrepresented by Hap Seng, and you can expect test drives as well as valuable insights into the brand’s ecosystem from the experts at EVx 2024. Both models 1 and 3 will be present at the event, the latter being a recent launch after going on sale here on 10 July 2024.

The #3 The #1 is the “coupe-style” sibling and comes in three variants, including the Pro at RM175,000, the Premium at RM215,000 and the Brabus at RM255,000. Stylish and well-equipped, the Pro comes with 19-inch ‘Flux’ wheels and an industry-first seat stud design with smart logo headrests. With a 49 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, the Pro offers a WLTP-rated range of up to 325 km.

For even more range, there’s the Premium version, which gets a 66 kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) battery that’s good for up to 455 km. Upgrading to this variant also gets you ‘CyberSpark’ matrix LED headlights, as well as an illuminated front grille for greater presence. Both the Pro and Premium get a rear-mounted electric motor that produces 272 PS (268 hp or 200 kW) and 343 Nm of torque, giving a 0-100 km/h time of 5.8 seconds.

If you need more performance, the Brabus variant is the way to go, with a 0-62 mph time of 3.7 seconds thanks to a dual-motor setup rated at 428 PS (422 hp or 315 kW) and 543 Nm. Even with this level of performance, the Brabus #3 offers a range of up to 250 miles (415 km) from the same battery shared with the Premium.

A standout feature of the Premium and Brabus variants is support for AC charging at up to 22 kW, which is uncommon in the local EV space. With a home charger capable of delivering that much power, a 10-80% state of charge can be achieved in just three hours.

This is great if you want to reduce your reliance on public chargers – especially DC chargers – which can be expensive. If you do find yourself needing additional DC charging, it’s 130kW for the Pro and 150kW for the Premium and Brabus, with around half an hour needed to get from 10-80% charge.
