Even as she underwent several rounds of chemotherapy without improvement, her condition worsened. It became clear that she needed urgent surgery.
Touched by her story, many people generously donated, allowing Sophie to undergo the necessary surgery. With the help of Howl Of A Dog partner Tatjana, Sophie was admitted to a clinic for the complex procedure, which eventually removed her tumor.
After enduring so much pain, Sophie’s life has changed. She is no longer in pain and is surrounded by the love of the entire team who love her. “We are so grateful to all the wonderful people who helped us save Sophie. Thanks to your help, Sophie can now live a happy life,” the rescue team said in a statement.
Her recovery was followed by another wonderful development—Sophie was adopted by a loving family who wanted her. What made her new home even more special was that her new mom was a veterinarian.
