Chile! Erica Mena not keeping her ex-husband, Safaree Samuelsthis week. In her latest criticism on Wednesday (July 10), she focused on his parenting skills — or alleged lack thereof.
Erica Mena claims Safaree hasn’t seen her child in “months”
The ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’ star accused Samuels of barely seeing his children despite living “30 minutes away.” And when they were in his care, Erica said he didn’t groom or dress them properly. She shared photos of their son Legend’s dreadlocks and Safire’s messy ponytail to prove her point.
“You went months without seeing these kids the way you wanted, you went two months the last time. You finally showed up to Legend’s birthday — empty handed and NEVER offered to pay half of anything like always. You came for a quick photo with them every few months and jumped,” Erica Mena wrote on her Instagram Story.
Mena explained that Safaree spent time with the kids on Saturday (July 7) and Legend’s braids “clearly… needed to come out.” However, the kids’ grandmother and aunt came to visit, and Erica said she assumed they would take care of her son’s hair. But no one did, even though the kids reportedly spent time in a chlorinated pool, she wrote.
“@safaree, you don’t mind making sure you’re a slutty bitch all the time. Why can’t my kids be properly dressed and groomed like you were when you had kids? Part of being a real slutty bitch is taking care of your kids, so this is where I draw the line… not properly grooming and dressing your kids every time you had kids, honestly, that’s despicable.”
TV star continues to criticize Safaree’s parenting style and accuses her of lack of input
In an additional post, the mother of two discussed other recent instances in which Safaree allegedly failed to provide for her children. She said he provided nothing for them other than monthly child support payments. Additionally, Mena claimed Safaree skipped Christmas and her daughter’s birthday last year.
“…The least you can do when you have them is be proud of it and really work at it. You have all this money that you tell the world about and you have all these diamonds but why when you have kids do they walk around looking like this? Don’t grandmas and aunts feel the need to get a comb for your baby sister??
Another lengthy post accused the father of taking his children to summer camp after taking them into care, which Mena said disrupted their routine. “If you’re going to take them somewhere random, why not take them to a school you helped pick but didn’t pay for??? But you barely see them anyway and it’s summer. Why not spoil your kids you NEVER actually see…,” she writes.
Meanwhile, Samuels has yet to respond to Erica Mena’s call. His most recent Instagram post is a video of him and Safire pretending to be shocked. Just this week, she also came forward after Samuels spoke about how his split from Nicki Minaj has had a big impact on his life.
