Eddie Hearn Rules Out Dereck Chisora-Andy Ruiz Jr Fight
Eddie Hearn has played down any speculation about a fight between Dereck Chisora and Andy Ruiz Jr.
Last week Ruiz took to Twitter and asked his followers who he should fight next, to which the Briton replied: ‘Want to go to London?’ Online reaction to the fight was positive, but Hearn told Boxing Social he was very confused about who the former unified heavyweight champion would fight.
“I think Andy Ruiz will play against Luis Ortiz. I spoke with Luis DeCubas (Ruiz manager) last night.
“I love it [Chisora-Ruiz] fighting and I love the Arreola fight, so we’ll see what happens but ‘Del Boy’ is also with me for a date. So try to bring a big fight to him. ”
Chisora has been without a win since stopping David Price in four rounds two and a half years ago. The veteran went on to battle Oleksandr Usyk and Joseph Parker twice, losing each in three games. However, the famous 38-year-old tennis player decided to retire after being completely defeated by the New Zealander three months ago.
