EaseUS RecExperts makes it easy to record your screen


Screen recorders are a dozen, but some of them rise to the top of the pile. Jack Wallen tests to see if EaseUS is such an app.

I take a lot of screenshots and videos from my desktop. Screenshots are extremely simple to handle. Some operating systems and desktops have built-in tools for that task, and if not, there are plenty of third-party tools like EaseUS RecExperts.

But for the video, it’s not completely cropped and dry. Yes, you can record videos on macOS with Quicktime, which is actually pretty easy. Even Windows 11 includes an Xbox Game Bar for capturing videos of nearly any app you use.

But those built-in tools are often limited in functionality. For those who want more, such as features like auto-stop, scheduling, webcam recording, etc., those bundled tools might not be enough.

Install EaseUS RecExperts on macOS

Installing on macOS is as simple as any app. You will download the dmg file, double click it and then drag the application icon to the folder as prompted. However, during the installation process, you will also have to give the application permission to record the content of the screen. During the installation, the Security & Privacy window will automatically open (Picture A).

Click the padlock at the bottom of the window, and when prompted, enter your password or tap the fingerprint scanner with your finger. Once unlocked, click the checkbox associated with EaseUS RecExperts to give the app the necessary permissions.

But there’s more than that.

Once the application is installed, a new window will open (Figure BUG), where you have to transfer even more permissions.

Once the installation is complete, you will find EaseUS in Launchpad. Launch the app and you’re ready to record.

Using

Using EaseUS is pretty straightforward. The application opens as a small window with all the necessary controls to record your screen (SIZE).

From the control window, you can choose to record full screen, choose the area to record, turn on the sound, turn on the webcam and several other features. One thing to note is that the cursor is hidden from the records by default. To enable the cursor, you must click on Settings and then click Show mouse pointer (Visualization).

You may also want to set the floating toolbar to auto-hide once recording starts. To do that, go back to Settings and scroll down to Hide Floating Toolbar. Click Enable and the toolbar will automatically hide when you start recording.

If you choose to auto-hide the toolbar, then you control pausing/stopping/exiting EaseUS from the top bar of macOS (Figure E) or the Windows system tray.

An intuitive and effective video option

If you find the built-in screen recording software in your operating system too limited (or it simply doesn’t exist), then EaseUS is an outstanding option that offers more features than the average tools. peace in this space as well as screen recording tricks to make your video shine. The only caveat to EaseUS is the cost, but if you can afford the entry-level price, this tool should serve you well.
