The Air Canada aircraft the program is giving away bonus points to celebrate World Refugee Day when you donate to charity Miles4Migrant.
Miles4Migrants helps vulnerable and displaced individuals from countries like Afghanistan and Ukraine with donated points and miles, travel vouchers and cash. The charity has helped more than 43,000 people in need, with more than 775 million miles donated.
This is already a worthy cause and now Aeroplan is donating even more.
For every $100 donated to Miles4Migrants through December 31, Aeroplan members will receive 7,500 points, up to a maximum of 75,000 points. This means a $99 donation won’t earn any Aeroplan points, a $199 donation will earn 7,500 points, and a $200 donation will earn 15,000 points.
Members must donate $1,000 to accumulate 75,000 Aeroplan points. According to TPG June 2024 valuationAeroplan points are worth 1.5 cents each, meaning those 75,000 points would be worth $1,125, enough to pay for a business class flight to Europe on Star Alliance airlines such as United Airlines, Lufthansa and Swiss.
