A worn-out tire became a haven for three small dogs in an abandoned spot under a California freeway overpass. Shielded from the scorching sun, they huddled together, their survival hanging by a thread in the remote, sweltering environment. Fate turned against them when a man, lost and accidentally taking a wrong turn, spotted a white terrier sprawled out in a pile of trash near the tire. Realizing the dire situation, he quickly contacted Faith Easdale, a seasoned rescuer with Dream Fetchers: Project Rescue.

Acting quickly, Faith contacted Cassandra Aldridge, a local rescue worker, to investigate. Upon arriving on the scene, Cassandra discovered not one but three dogs peering out of the tire. Weak and dehydrated, they were too weak to leave their makeshift shelter. Running out of time, Cassandra carefully loaded the tire with the dogs inside into her car, seeking relief from the heat.
