The new one DJI Avatar crashed today and this little drone looks absolutely amazing.
First, let me start by saying that I think DJI drones in general are one of the most incredible products created in the last decade. It seems like every 3 months another DJI drone comes out making the previous model feel outdated.
Just a few years ago, you needed to buy a specific drone for a particular type of shooting. Do you want it to be smaller? safe? agile, nimble? Or do you want the best image quality and stability? Do you want it to be able to do somersaults and work with a headset or a monitor with a controller?
The DJI Avatar looks to have combined all the best features into one FPV drone that fits in the palm of your hand with a built-in propeller guard. It’s actually designed for impact and is capable of self-correcting even when it’s upside down. You can control it with an optional VR headset and a 3D motion controller that uses wrist movements to control the drone. It has a 4k camera with advanced image stabilization and horizon stabilization options.
DJI don’t like my review of action camera that they sent me so they didn’t send me a pre-copy of this drone but they sent it to other creators. Check out some of the best reviews below.
