Software Nippon Ichi reveal more information about Yomawari 3 and areas and monsters will appear in them. Areas include a shopping mall, an abandoned school, a derelict ship and a graveyard. In addition, Nippon Ichi Software outlined the types of demons that will appear in these locations. As it stands, there will be a unique type of monster in each area. [Thanks, Famitsu!]
Each area will have a different design and theme. For example, the mall will have stray dogs. These dogs do not seem to bark, while another pack will hinder your progress. The soul that appears here is called a Roadblock. It is a large mass of fur created from several eyes and mouths.
Abandoned schools are more straightforward. In the school, the player will be able to get the diary. The diary will feature an exchange between the two about various rumors regarding the school. The player may encounter a tall Faceless Man in the abandoned school, who will begin to chase them when he spots them. In addition, the player can examine a skeleton specimen, there are some rumors surrounding it.
The derelict ship was an abandoned and decaying area. Once on board, your flashlight and watch will lose control. The abandoned ship is the home of the Water God. The player can also find an old camera, which will emit a strong light. Additionally, the player can use smoke bombs that will illuminate different areas of the ship. However, the light provided by the smoke bombs was only temporary.
And finally the cemetery. This location has been abandoned for many years. The player will meet some spirits in this location. Three grotesque-looking Spirits block the player’s path.
