There are many reasons, including increased commitment to work for all team members, as Daniel details below in this statement.
Daniel Falzon
“After careful consideration, I regret to announce today that we will not be participating in the Australian Superbikes Championship in 2023. This decision has not been easy and is one that our entire team has taken. go out.
“When participating in the national Superbike race, we always keep in mind that we will not compete unless each of us gives 100% of our energy for each season. This year it won’t be possible.
“Without detailing all the contributing factors, a major one was my need for corrective surgery. I have been advised to proceed with the removal of all bars and pins in my legs and back following my incident at The Bend in 2021 – so it will take some time for me to recover.
“Considering that this may put me off for a while, I have decided to return to the University this year to further develop my Paramedic career and take a postgraduate course in Specialized Care. deep, this has always been my personal goal and work/race/study balance seems impossible.
“In 2022, we committed to a new avionics system, MoTeC, with the understanding that it would become the control ECU for 2023. Together with other teams, we invested time. and considerable money went into developing this system and to be fair we were very disappointed. to see MA not progressing with this plan – in addition to our decision to sit out the season and see how things go.
“I want to say a big thank you to our loyal followers and partners, for our team this marks 14 seasons of racing at the national level and really lights the candle. That’s on both ends – I think it’s time to take a long break from service!”
