Dalmatian mistook spotted horse for his biological family
Dogs may not see every color, but they can see black and white patterns easily. So a dalmatian named Jack Sparrow quickly discovered other animals that resembled him. He is attracted to animals that look like him and he seems to think of them as part of his family. However, those animals are not always other dogs.
Jack Sparrow has declared himself a member of a horse family and the horses are white with black spots just like him. He started off as the third wheel of a horse duo, but he’s now befriended many horses at his family’s equine academy.
Dog’s third wheel
Jack Sparrow is a member of the Horse & Man Academy in the Netherlands. They focused on horse training, and many of the horses at the academy were similar in appearance to dalmatians.
The puppy quickly bonded with Nevada, a 9-year-old Appaloosa stallion, and Napoleon, a 5-year-old Shetland pony. Both horses are white with black spots like Jack Sparrow. So he immediately felt attracted to them.

“The first time Jack Sparrow saw Napoleon as a puppy, he started running towards him, because he thought Napoleon was his family, and ever since then he wanted to be with him, ” said Greetje Hakvoort, founder of the academy. speak. “Nevada and Jack are both calm, they like to be around each other and like to make fun of me together, while Napoleon is really funny and definitely lives up to his name, has a strong temper and acts like a character. little king.”
When the horses were playing tricks or riding with humans, Jack Sparrow often followed. He doesn’t want to be left out in the family adventure!

There are a number of horses with a similar role model to Jack Sparrow, but he has always had the best connection with Nevada and Napoleon. He loves to play with all the horses and other dogs on site, but these are the ones he hangs out with the most.
“They were real friends, like to play and run around together, but sometimes Napoleon liked to chase Jack. “The connection between them is easy to see, and Jack wants to be with them in every photo and video,” Hakvoort said.
Although there is another Dalmatian living with them now, Jack still loves his pony friends more than anything. They are a trio that can hardly warm the hearts of everyone who sees them. Plus, the pictures of the three spotted animals side by side are always beautiful!
