Credit Card Transfer Partners: Guide to Transferring Points and Miles to Airlines and Hotels


We love transferable credit card points at TPG.

Ability to transfer your rewards to multiple airlines and hotel loyalty program at a moment’s notice provides valuable flexibility to maximize your travel. You’re not locked into a single rewards program as you plan your trips. If you can’t find available seats on one program, you can choose another before transferring any credit card points. If a program loses value without notice, you can simply switch to another program for your next transfer.

With dozens of different transfer options, it can be difficult to remember how many options you have.

Here’s a handy guide that breaks down which credit card points can be transferred to which airline and hotel programs — including their respective conversion rates. We also list the pricing of each transfer partner so you can get the best value to maximize your hard-earned points.

Citi ThankYou Rewards points can also be transferred to Virgin Red (airlines and hotels) at a 1:1 ratio.

There are a few important notes to highlight regarding these transfer partners:

Finally, with the exception of EVA Air Infinity MileageLands and Finnair Plus, you can Marriott Bonvoy Points Transfer for all airline partners listed above at a rate of 3 Bonvoy points for 1 airline point or mile. You will receive an additional 5,000 points or miles for every 60,000 Bonvoy points transferred, except for the following airline programs: American AAdvantage, Avianca LifeMiles, and Delta SkyMiles. Additionally, United MileagePlus awards 10,000 bonus miles for every 60,000 points transferred.

American Express Membership Rewards

Bilt Rewards

Bilt offers a credit card, Mastercard® Credit Card. Cardholders earn rewards on rent (up to 100,000 Bilt Points in a calendar year), 2 points per dollar spent on travel (airfare, hotels, cruises, and rental cars), and 3 points per dollar spent on dining. You need to make at least five transactions per statement period to earn points (see rewards and benefits). The best part is that the Bilt Mastercard has no annual fee (see prices and fees).

Citi ThankYou Rewards

Citi ThankYou Rewards There are 18 airline and hotel transfer partners. Currently, there is only one card that offers transfers to all of these programs: Citi Strata Premier℠ Card (see prices and fees). Note that if you are still holding Citi Prestige® CardNo longer open to new applicants, you also enjoy full transfer rights.

However, like Chase Ultimate Rewards points, you can combine your Citi ThankYou Rewards points into a single account for select products. This allows you to effectively transfer your fixed-value earnings from cards like Citi Rewards+® Card (see prices and fees) or Citi Double Cash® Card (see prices and fees) into fully transferable ThankYou points.
