As we prepare to close out National Men’s Health Month, Cory Hardrict is keeping the truth about her emotional health after divorce. Hardric is married to the actress Tia Mowry for 14 years before she filed to end their marriage in October 2022.
In the paperwork, the ‘Sister Sister’ star cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split. The court finalized their paperwork more than a year ago, in April 2023. The former couple have two children: a son, Cree, and a daughter, Cairo.

Cory Hardrict shares his emotional struggles after divorce
Cory spoke candidly about his feelings after his divorce at the American Black Film Festival earlier this month. According to Essence, Hardrict was speaking at a panel when the topic came up. A clip shared by Hollywood Melanin on Instagram shows the actor wearing a burnt orange suit on stage.
“It’s hard when you feel like you’re going through something alone and no one understands and no one is there for you,” Cory Hardrict said. “For a year and a half I cried myself to sleep every night.”
Additionally, Cory shared that his loved ones can attest that his “kids and family mean everything” to him. So, after more than a decade of marriage and nearly two years of living together, Hardrict implied that the post-breakup period was painful for him. However, it seemed to show that he “stronger [he] think [he] used to be.”
The actor added: “Thank God I am here and I will still go.

Note that Cory Hardrict previously revealed that cheating was not a factor. And in June 2023, Tia Mowry provided additional context about why she filed for divorce.
She told Hello Beautiful that she had been considering breaking up for about five years. Although she loves her role as a wife, Mowry shares that tradition does not allow for a “constant” changing nature.
“I love being a wife. But I understand that tradition can be a blessing and a curse. What I mean is that tradition ensures no change, while change is constant,” shares Mowry.
After several deaths in her family, she entered therapy and began to question her peace and happiness. She eventually decided that choosing herself was best for her, Cree, and Cairo.
“Part of my decision was for them. Because they saw their mother walking in the truth. I feel like it was a great lesson for them because it was not an easy decision. It was one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make in my entire life.”
