Artist fans and creators are amazing. The dedication and time they put into making art related to their favorite media is truly inspirational, and there are some incredibly talented people out there that make us one to envy. little!
Now, come on, if you’re like us, when you play for the first time Zelda: Breath of the Wild, you might have looked at every inch of the map and scanned every detail of each statue. Well, maybe not that far away, but one thing we miss especially is the way nature has overtaken the ruins and statues dotted around this apocalyptic Hyrule. It felt like we were exploring an abandoned castle in the middle of an English field!
Artist edlothian tried to recreate some of these statues from Breath of the Wild in stunning detail, complete with faux moss and ivy leaves. You can even see green and yellow stains at the base of the statue as the vegetation stains the stone.
Created with a 3D printer – as Confirmed on Reddit -edlothian has made a number of beautiful and wild Breath-inspired creations, such as this adorable statue of Goddess Hylia and this lovely Korok-inspired diffuser. We can’t get over how happy we are when little Korok looks in the water!
However, Breath of the Wild isn’t the only Zelda game where edlothian has made some standout copies. One of his big projects is recreating the Forest Temple from Ocarina of Time, and not just the struct itself. The artist has also created enemies that will go inside the finished temple, and they look as scary as you remember them in polygonal form.
Each brick was clearly visible, and the drooling Deku Baba with blood-stained lips was chilling. There isn’t a single stone that hasn’t flipped, literally! With treasure chests and pools of water surrounding the structure, we think Nintendo should give this person a scaled-down version of every dungeon.
Skyward Sword also received a little love last year, as edlothian made a niche for his Link amiibo. And the stands look exactly like the place in Skyloft where you get Sailcloth! The wear and tear on the statue and the shoveling on the floor of the stands was astounding.
We can’t imagine how long these took to create, and my goodness, would we want all of them. Hats to you these wonderful creations, edlothian! We can’t wait to see what you do next. Maybe some masks can be worn from Majora’s mask are on the table?
