Climate “Communicators” Discover The Best Way To Persuade Voters Is To Lie To Them – Are You Okay With That?

This is a funny one X Topics (formerly Twitter) during a presentation on “climate messaging”.

Worst messages tested: electric cars, Green New Deal, frontline communities, ‘Big Oil lies’, climate pollution

Talk of electric cars is especially dangerous for Democrats. Women are especially afraid of running out of battery. (Interesting gender issue for range anxiety that I hadn’t thought about before).

This thread quickly turns to the best messages ever tested, all of which are outright lies, predictions or fantasies out of context.

Best message ever tested: Save energy bills/reduce energy costs; kitchen sink cost; create good, stable jobs; investment in transit, infrastructure, manufacturing; R&D for clean energy.

We can assume you spit out the coffee or had a similar reaction at this point.

Let’s analyze this a bit.

Save energy bills/reduce energy costs; kitchen sink cost,

Uh, ask consumers in California, England, Canada or Germany about that.

create good, stable jobs;

Employees of Solyndra, Proterra, Fisker, Arrival UK, or any major industry in Germany, the list goes on, may have a different way of doing things, not to mention construction and pipeline workers.

investment in transit, infrastructure, manufacturing;

The California High Speed Rail project is typical of this, along with the types of companies mentioned above. Many of these projects are no more beneficial to the overall economy than if you just paid one group of workers to dig holes and another group to backfill them.

R&D for clean energy.

Money is spent to defy the laws of thermodynamics, reduce economic growth, increase energy prices, destroy the environment, instead of a stable, maneuverable, small environmental footprint, base energy.

… The “Green New Deal” message is currently *not* tied to government investments that promote good jobs and economic growth; instead, it involves bans on burgers and airplanes, and specifically stokes fears about making energy expensive.

I find this more unfortunate than parody.

and especially stoking fears about making energy expensive.

BECAUSE IT IS %%@^^ TRUTH, REAL AND PROVEN AFTER TIME

Topic X goes on to discuss AOC’s politically disastrous implementation of the Green New Deal in 2019 and subsequent rollback. However, it also notes that this same message of environmental Marxism continues unabated and continues to distance the public from their utopian imagination.

It is a Interesting topic to read on X. Just make sure you swallow your coffee before reading.
