Citizen celebrates 35 years of focusing on adventure Promaster Collection with a new watch and a new light-powered movement.
New Citizen Promaster Geo Trekker
Completely new Promaster Geo Trekker The Eco-Drive model is a world timer and the latest model in the feature-rich Promaster line of radio-controlled watches.
Citizen launches new Cal. H864 movement in the new watch. Named after the 86,400 seconds in a day, the new light-powered quartz movement can display time in cities across the globe. Accurate to ±15 seconds per month, the movement will operate for 2.5 years on a full charge (in energy saving mode).
To emphasize the new watch’s ability to display world time, Citizen placed an image of the Northern Hemisphere on the black-and-white dial within the rotating UTC disc at 6 o’clock. When the disc aligns with the list of outer ring cities, the approximate time in that Northern Hemisphere city is displayed.
Citizen has made the minute hand on the new watch larger than the minute hand on the previous Promaster watch. The minute hands, hour hands and indices also have more luminescent material, enhancing visibility at night.
Citizen has also opened up the dial design here. The watch’s new 46mm x 11.5mm case has a slightly conical shape, which helps emphasize the slim profile of the Promaster. The back of the case has an engraved map of the Northern Hemisphere.
The case back is engraved with a map of the Northern Hemisphere, a unique feature of this model.
