From the early days, when Chrome OS was more than just an experiment”browser in a box“to this day – with a platform that powers first-class hardware and support for a wide variety of productivity applications – Google’s once insane project has become one of the technological forces most attractive and rapidly expanding in the world.

I have been closely referring to Chrome OS since the beginning. I’ve lived with the first Chromebook prototype, the Cr-48, and have been using the Chromebook as part of my own PC setup in varying capacities ever since. I write about the field not only as someone who has studied it professionally from day one, but also as someone who has personally used it all the time, right up to the end. today.
