The card also comes with trip protection. For prepaid, non-refundable fares booked with the Chase Freedom Flex, you’re covered for $1,500 per person or $6,000 per trip if it’s canceled for covered reasons. If you decline the rental company’s coverage, this benefit may protect you against theft and collision damage, although this is secondary coverage.
