Can-Am turns 50 this year, and Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP), Can-Am’s parent company, is celebrating its custom product collaboration and festivals throughout the summer.
The first Can-Am motorcycle was built in 1973 and achieved instant success in motocross and endurance racing. In 1996, they began work on the Spyder, a semi-motorcycle/half-convertible tricycle, finally introduced in 2007.
Since then, the brand has brought other tricycle models to market, including the Spyder F3, Ryker and Spyder RT.

The brand’s tricycle lineup has opened doors for more riders to love the sport, and sales have more than doubled in the past four years.

Using its tricycle models as a way to interact with a variety of riders, BRP has shown support for its fans in many ways. For example, Can-Am sponsors Road Warrior Ride September last year and offers veterans riding courses and full gear, as well as using the Spyder to ride 1,000 miles from Florida to Ohio.
The brand has also been a supporter of International Women’s Equestrian Day and other inclusiveness-focused events.
