Seal is based on BYD’s new flexible, skateboard-like ‘E-Platform 3.0’ with the brand’s exclusive ‘Blade’ lithium-iron phosphate battery (system voltage up to 800V). This chemistry – also in the Chinese-made Model 3 – is designed to maximize stability and lifecycle.
Regarding curb weight, BYD .’s past government records lists numbers from 1885kg for the base to 2150kg for the dual-motor – slightly larger than the Tesla listed as between 1752kg and 1836kg.
