The announcement begins with the history of Idol Corp, as well as how the company has grown while maintaining its core values of being transparent with the community and supporting idols. However, with so much talent within the company, it has become difficult to maintain the same level of support as before.
With the acquisition by Brave Group US, Idol Corp can continue its regular operations with more resources than before. VTubers with Idol Corp have the option to stay or go independent. If they decide to go independent, they can retain rights to their social media accounts, models, and personas.
Near the end of the announcement, the idol told fans that he and the Brave group wanted to resolve some issues related to late deliveries, as well as unpaid bills. In the Brave group Notification of the acquisition, announced that former Idol Corp CEO Aviel Basin has resigned. It appears he is no longer working at the company in any capacity.
Brave Group began partnering with Idol Corp in December 2023, which is probably why many commenters said they saw this coming. Other VTuber companies under Brave Group include VSPO! and V4Mirai.
As of the time of writing, all of Idol Corp’s VTubers are still working at the company.
