Flights from the East Coast to Hawaii can be expensive, but with these deals you can find fares from cities like New York and Boston for under $400. In particular, some of the cheapest deals are on flights to Kahului.

If you want to fly United on your return flight, the Chicago-based carrier offers three different flights for the same price. So not only do you get a good deal on airfare, but you also have a lot of time flexibility.
Remember that these deals only extend to the underlying economy. United’s basic economy fares have limitations; for example, passengers cannot bring carry-on baggage and seat selection incurs additional charges. Passengers cannot change flights and are not eligible for an upgrade.
United offers different packages that you can add to your flight for some extra perks like United Club access, seat selection and standard checked baggage. These plans cost $41 to $84 additional.
Economy seats can cost anywhere from $15 to $21, while priority seats range from $35 to $51. United’s Priority Seats are somewhat similar to standard economy class seats, except that passengers can earn Premier review points with these seats. The Priority seats are also closer to the front and center of the plane than to the rear.

bottom line
This is an incredible deal for Hawaii – rarely have fares to Aloha State been so low. While basic economy class has its limitations, it’s totally worth it if you want to visit Hawaii but don’t want to deal with expensive airfares.
Also, the travel dates of some of the available routes fall during the winter months, which is arguably one of the best times to visit Hawaii. You can escape the cold for warmer waters.
