On Wednesday, August 7, In Touch Weekly published exclusive footage of Bryant’s arrest on July 3, 2023. The paper noted that Gwinett County police were “called” to a Georgia neighborhood around 1 a.m. where Bryant “was gathering.”

Upon arrival, police reportedly asked Bryant why he was there. He reportedly explained that he “knew a homeowner down the street.”

An early arrest clip shows police instructing Bryant, who was initially sitting on the sidewalk, to stand up. As he stood up, police placed his hands behind his back and handcuffed him.

Bryant can be heard screaming “Ah” and groaning repeatedly in pain.

A subsequent video shows Bryant sitting in the back seat of a police car. An officer asks him, “Who did you buy it for?… Help me help you.”

Police then asked Bryant if he had purchased the substance in Gwinnett County. In return, Bryant appeared to tell police he would take them to where he allegedly obtained the substance.

“Yeah, I mean, I say, damn it – if you help me get out of these handcuffs, I’ll take you there,” he said.

The officer declined Bryant’s request and informed him that a narcotics officer would be speaking with him shortly. In the meantime, however, the officer continued to question Bryant.

Leakes’ son explained to police that he got the substance from a “guy.” At that point, In Touch Weekly’s footage cut to the moments before Bryant was placed in a police car.

Police can be heard telling Bryant he had “a pound of fentanyl” inside the car.

“Do you know how fast that damn thing will kill you?” the officer later said to Bryant.

It was Leakes’ son’s turn to reply: “Yes, I know.”

Here’s What’s Happened Since Bryson Bryant’s Arrest

As The Shade Room previously reported, Bryant was later charged with eluding police and falsely claiming he knew individuals in the area where he was arrested.

In addition, during his indictment, Bryant falsely told police that he was Brentt’s brother.

Bryant was then jailed until October 2023 for violating the terms of his previous probation, In Touch Weekly reported. In the following months, he reportedly reached a plea deal with prosecutors. Then, in July, a judge ordered the 34-year-old to complete 12 months of probation and pay a $500 fine.

In addition, Bryant was required to complete 40 hours of community service and undergo random drug testing.

Additionally, a judge has also ordered Bryant to undergo “a substance abuse evaluation and/or treatment.” If the 34-year-old fails to comply with the terms or is found to be using drugs, he will be detained.
