BMW Motorrad unveiled the BMW R20 concept car at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este exhibition in Italy. The R20 features a classic roadster design combined with sophisticated components and minimalist styling, with the air/oil-cooled Big Boxer engine at its heart.
The BMW R20 is an eye-catching motorcycle with a striking “hotter than pink” color on the aluminum tank. The bike is designed to highlight the 2,000cc boxer engine, with the giant cylinders protruding horizontally and new parts – the cylinder head cover, belt cover and oil cooler – have been added. developed for this concept model.

The bike’s twin-ring main frame is made of chrome-plated steel tubing and the R20 features a new double-sided variant of BMW’s Paralever system. In this new variant, the swingarm is made of chrome-plated steel and the struts are aluminum. The exposed driveshaft used from the R 18 has been shortened and the car rides on 17-inch wheels, with spokes at the front and black discs at the rear.

Suspension components are supplied by Öhlins, the rake angle is 27.5 degrees and the wheelbase is 61 inches. The radial-mounted ISR braking system features a pair of six-piston front calipers and a single four-piston rear caliper.
Adding to the R20’s sophisticated appearance, the taillights are integrated into the single seat upholstered in quilted black Alcantara and smooth leather, while the rear has a compact, uncluttered appearance. The LED headlights are surrounded by an aluminum ring with integrated daytime running lights, with the main headlight appearing as a float inside the ring.
